US programme
US brands come to us for a single reason: the product they saw on Pinterest, in a Milan showroom, in a Copenhagen boutique, or on a competitor's shelf — they want it made in India, at Indian small-batch MOQ, with US retail QC baked in from the first sample. Our product-development workflow is engineered around that reality.
The five-stage product-development workflow
1. Brief lock
CAD / reference photograph / sample-in-hand / functional spec. Retail context (mass / premium / specialty / DTC). Target retail price band. MOQ + repeat-order intent.
2. Factory selection for development
Not every factory can develop; some can only reproduce. We route developmental work to factories with a formal sample department and a designer on payroll.
3. Prototype + first article (3-5 weeks)
3D-model or hand-sample. Materials sourced against target retail price band. First article delivered to Moradabad HQ, photographed against a colour-calibrated background, shipped to the US buyer via DHL.
4. Sample iteration (2-4 rounds)
3-4 sample rounds are inside the programme fee (no per-iteration tooling surprises). Each round photographed and documented. Sign-off spec sheet locked at the end.
5. First production batch
Programme moves into buying-agent workflow (see /india-buying-agent-for-usa). Full AQL 2.5 QC applied to the first commercial container.
Tooling ownership
US brand tooling is US brand property. We inventory it, photograph it, and store it under a witnessed factory tooling agreement. If the factory relationship ends, the tooling comes to a factory of the buyer's choice — no lock-in.
Frequently asked
Questions US buyers ask us on this programme.
Do you develop private-label SKUs or only reproduce existing designs?
Both. Private-label development is our sweet spot — US DTC brands and specialty retailers routinely engage us for exclusive SKUs with a differentiated retail story.
How many sample rounds are included in the fee?
3-4 rounds inside programme fee. Rounds beyond that are quoted per iteration. Most programmes lock in 2-3 rounds.
Do we own the tooling?
Yes. All buyer-funded tooling is inventoried, photographed and held under a witnessed factory tooling agreement. Tooling is your property and moves with your brand.
Can you develop against a Pinterest reference or does it need a CAD?
Either. A clear reference photograph plus a functional spec is enough to start. A CAD accelerates it, but is not a prerequisite.
What does product development cost?
Programme-fee model — one flat fee covering 3-4 sample rounds. Cheaper than per-sample factory-direct pricing and gives you the compliance + QC oversight baked in. Request a written quote via the contact form below.
