What is Maison&Objet?

Maison&Objet is the international lifestyle, design and home-décor exhibition organized by SAFI (Salons Français et Internationaux). It is held twice a year at Paris Nord Villepinte and covers home décor and accessories, furniture, lighting, textile, fragrance and personal care, kitchen and tabletop, gifting and stationery, and lifestyle-adjacent categories.

The fair is organized around themed universes and design-forward curation — Maison&Objet is as much a trend-intelligence event as a sourcing event, and the exhibitor mix leans strongly toward European and international design-lifestyle brands. It is a core annual calendar entry for design-lifestyle retail buyers, hospitality-project design firms and DTC lifestyle-brand founders.

Maison&Objet — dates and calendar

Maison&Objet runs twice a year — a January edition (typically the third week of January) and a September edition (typically the first week of September). Specific edition dates are confirmed by SAFI 4-6 months ahead of each edition. For current confirmed edition dates always refer to the official Maison&Objet event page — we deliberately do not republish dates here to avoid drift.

The January Maison&Objet edition traditionally pairs with imm cologne (typically the preceding week) — a common European buying-trip itinerary is Cologne → Paris. The September Maison&Objet edition pairs with Paris Design Week which runs concurrently or immediately after the fair.

Maison&Objet venue and travel

Maison&Objet is held at Paris Nord Villepinte, the northern exhibition complex approximately 25 km north-east of central Paris and directly connected to Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) via RER B rail and shuttle. Fair-week transfers from CDG run 15-20 minutes; transfers from central Paris (Gare du Nord) run 40-45 minutes on RER B direct.

Recommended accommodation for international buyers is either central Paris (Marais, Saint-Germain, Champs-Élysées) with daily RER B transfers, or CDG-airport hotels for the shortest daily commute. Maison&Objet registration

Maison&Objet registration runs through the official SAFI-operated event website. Trade-visitor registration typically requires company details, buyer profile and identity verification, and is subject to trade-only admission. Registration terms and any pre-registration discounts vary by edition — refer to the official website for current registration process.
